No. 01what founders sayword of mouth
After my presentation at Shortlist, someone in the audience approached me and showed me the app he’s built. I met with him the next day and hired him on the spot. Grateful to The Shortlist NYC for gathering high talent density all in one room.

No. 02about the shortlistnew york

Funding is a hiring signal. We read it first.

The Shortlist is an application-only showcase for the New York founders worth knowing, paired with a newsletter that reads the city's funding for what it really is: a map of who is about to hire. When a company raises, it is about to build a team. We put those founders in front of the operators, engineers, and readers who want to move before the roles ever get posted.

It isn't a mixer and it isn't a job board. Every application is read by hand, a small group is chosen each cycle, and the room stays small on purpose. Founders get in front of the people who matter. Talent gets a first look at the companies about to grow. That is the whole idea.

How the Shortlist works.
